Love Grows Here

Hi everyone, this month’s ATC swap over on the Tracy Evans FB page is “Black and White with a pop of colour”. I’m really enjoying this swap as the themes are fab and I enjoy racking my brain as to how I can use Tracy’s stamps on such a small canvas … plus there are some gorgeous makes by other participants so I am always thrilled with the swaps I receive. 

This month I have already seen quite a few ATC’s I really like in the swap photo album, so I decided to make more than usual so I can receive back as many as possible! ❤️ This month I made 5 ATC’s - here they are. I called this series “Love Grows Here”.

I started by cutting 5 pieces of white card slightly smaller than standard ATC size from various snippets, and covered them with washi tape to make a grungy black and white text background. I then stamped my flowers and heart onto various snippets of super smooth stamping card,  coloured them with Zig watercolour markers and fussy cut them out - in some cases separating the leaves so I could rearrange them to fit the ATC. I added some white Posca spatters to each flower, then stamped and cut out the words and attached everything to the ATC bases. I found snippets of coloured card to match each coloured flower and cut them to standard ATC size - 3.5” x 2.5”,then matted the floral panels onto a coloured border. Finally I added Glossy Accents to the flower centres, circular letter “P” on ATC1, and to the heart on ATC5.  It was dark by the time i was applying the Glossy Accents and I noticed this morning it has cracked on a couple of the ATC's - not sure why that has happened, but luckily it works pretty well with the grungy vibe!
