Penny Black Saturday Challenge #30 - Embossing

Hello everyone, and welcome to a whole new year of PB Saturday challenges - hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year. Thanks very much to everyone who took part in the last challenge at what was a very busy time - don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog to find out who won Santa's prize!

We are all hoping that you are feeling refreshed from your little break and raring to go ... so without further ado, let's get onto the first challenge for 2009, which is

embossing

As always, you can interpret this however you like .... you may want to use heat embossing, dry embossing (machine or free hand), embossed papers or cardstock, or any combination of these!! As ever, we just need you to include at least one Penny Black stamp or stickeroo in your creation. The DT members have been busy over the festive break and have come up with some fantastic creations, which I hope you'll find time to take a look at.

This week we have a prize kindly donated by Pollycrafts, which is a cute clear stamp called "First Love".

Here is my card, which includes 3 types of embossing - heat, Cuttlebug, and embossed paper.

The main image is PB stamp "Surprise!" coloured with watercolour pencils and decorated with tiny Papermania gemstones and a dragonfly brad. The sentiment is PB "To You.." with the "to you" words masked off as they wouldn't fit on the layout, inked with Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy ink and heat embossed with silver pearl powder. My background papers are all by K&Co, including the stripy one which is an embossed paper, and I also embossed pearlescent green cardstock with the Cuttlebug "Floral Fantasy" folder. Flowers are by Prima, and the mother of pearl button and ribbon are from my stash. I've also been palying with my new Woodware paper trimmer which has a "Victorian" blade, so wavy edges ae appearing everywhere LOL!

Thanks for looking.
