The 10K blog candy club

Emma is celebrating 10,000 hits and has got some very special blog candy to give away. She says...

...instead of me picking what you can win I thought it would be quite nice for you to be able to choose it yourself.I contacted the oh so lovely Michelle at Poppicrafts and asked if I could purchase a voucher to give away as blog candy. I have now got the voucher sat in my account...except Michelle DONATED it!! How nice was that!!The voucher is worth £10 and is yours to spend how you want at Poppicrafts if you win. To enter all you need to do, as usual is leave your name in the comments so you can go into the draw, leave a link on your blog to this...AND...please leave a link to Poppicrafts as well. That's it...easy peasy!

Meanwhile, Michello is also celebrating 10,000 hits by offering a yummy pack of candy that includes ... a Fiskars Funky Heart Squeeze Punch, Around The Block Soft Brads and Sports Brads, Heidi Grace Heart Fastners, Fiskars Pink Prevent Breast Cancer Scissors and lots of images from House Mouse, Whipper Snapper and of course some Magnolia Tildas!

So please take a moment to pop over to both of these fantastic blogs and take a look!

My First Award!

I was thrilled today to receive my first blog award from my crafting friend Cathy - it really made me feel that setting up my craft blog was worthwhile!

The rules for this award:
1. The winner can put the logo on her blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of the girls you've nominated.

Now, having only set up my own blog as recently as last Thursday I've only visited a select few blogs ... so I have taken the opportunity to nose around a few more. There are many that are so fantastic it is difficult to choose, but here are the 7 I nominate who haven't already posted this award on their sites.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Colour

The Penny Black Challenge is what has inspired me to set up my new blog, so having emailed my cards to Tracy and Tracie for the past two weeks I am now finally able to post one here!!

The challenge this week is to make a card using the colours pink, brown and green; so here is my effort - hope you like it.

I have used the PB stamp "Clusters" for the main image, coloured with 2 shades of pink Cosmic Shimmer and "Sea Glass" Twinkling H2O.The greeting stamp is by Hero Arts; papers are all by Heidi Grace Designs for Fiskars, flowers by Prima and pearl brads by Papermania.

Stickeroo mania - Take 2

Here are a few more of the PB stickeroo RAK's I made for my 14 crafting buddies!

Stickeroo Mania!

I recently got totally carried away at the Port Sunlight craft fair, and couldn't resist a whole load of PB stickeroos cos they were on offer!! having got them home the guilt kicked in .. what should I DO with all this stuff?? So I made a batch of 14 simple friendship RAK's for a circle of crafting friends I've got close to .. great fun matching up the stickeroos with brads, flowers and ribbons whilst trying to keep the time per card down!! here are the first 5 ... hope you like them - I got some very kind comments from the recipients :-)

You've got to be in it to win it!

My talented friend Lorraine is celebrating her birthday on July 29th, and so is offering some gorgeous bits'n'bobs over on her blog - do pop over there to take a peek and look at some of her fab card creations.

There are also some gorgeous cards over on Cathy's blog ... and she is wanting to know what crafting bits we all have too much of and is offering some cute stamped images and ribbons - well worth a peek!

Finally Emma is offering some yummy co-ordinating stash on her fantastic blog ... come on down and check it out!

A Whole New World!!

Hello and welcome to my new blog ... this is all exciting and new, and I hope an opportunity for me to share my passion for cardmaking with you. I have been inspired by seeing some fab crafting blogs plus the need to join in some fantastic blog challenges!

In order to get some content up and running on this site I thought I would start by sharing some of my crafting activity from the recent past .... and where better to start than with the card I lovingly made to mark my precious dad's milestone 80th birthday on 8th June? it isn't really my usual style but I made it very much with his likes in mind - the main stamp is "Old Crock" by Butterfly Kisses, painted with Olive Vine twinkling H2O (to look like racing green), decoupaged so it "drives off the page" and mounted onto copper pearlescent card embossed with the Cuttlebug. The background papers were free with Making Cards magazine, the setiment is from the "Celebrations" See-D and the numbers die cut using the Cuttlebug "Hippie Chick" alphabet.

Hope you like it!
