Hi everyone, today’s card is a birthday card - the weather seems to have been relentlessly cold and miserable so I was in the mood to make something bright and cheerful!
I stamped the daisy onto a square of card, masked it then daubed some Distress Oxide onto acetate, spritzed with water and smooshed around the image. When dry I added some soft stencilling and 2nd generation script stamping, then stamped the bee. I removed the mask and coloured the daisy centre and bee with watered down Posca sparkle pens, and the petals and bee wings with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen. I added some 2nd generation stamped spatters, then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on black card, cut out and attached.
Here’s an angled picture to show the shimmer a bit better.
I also decorated the envelope to match, though I blended the background as the envelope wouldn’t hold water (don’t ask me how I know!) and coloured the daisy centres with Sakura Stardust pens.
Stamps: Visible Image Daisy Grunge, Sketched Tulips (script), Bee Happy, Birthday Greetings;
Media: Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed); Versafine Clair (Nocturne); Versamark; WOW embossing powder (white); Posca sparkle pens (yellow, orange); Sakura Stardust pens (yellow, orange);
Tools: That’s Crafty Dinky Stencil.

This is sunshine on a card - just love it
We actually saw a little sun today, it was very special! Lovely sunny card and I love the white daisy flowers with the yellow background. Well done for going to so much trouble and masking the daisy on the envelope too. That deserves respect xx
Thanks for the sunshine, we certainly need it. Love the script and the emphasized greeting. A beautiful card. x
I just marvel at how your brain creatively thinks and strategizes out various steps to create your cards!!! Brilliant! I agree that the yellow is cheerful and needful on a cold winter's day! Thanks for sharing your birthday card for our "B" in BEWAS themes at HQCOLCB!! -- Becca

A beautiful summer-y card Pauline, and the bouquet of daisies decorates the envelope so nicely! Sooo cold here today (around -20 celsius). I was considering skipping yoga class today but I need to stop for grocery anyway... Hate to be out in this frigid weather!
Lovely bright card Pauline and very cheerful in this cold weather. I love that colour around the flower and leaving the daisy white. Thanks for sharing with us at ATSM
I love the stunning daisy and the yellow/black combination. The background is absolutely awesome, and it just turned out so amazing. Thanks SO much for sharing this super sweet card with us at Word Art Wednesday. It's always greatly appreciated.
