Penny Black Saturday #163 - Anything Goes!

Hi everyone and welcome to this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge. Lots of fabulous entries last week .. it was really hard to pick a guest designer but somehow we managed it ... please pop over to the main challenge blog to check if it's you!!

This week we have a really nice and easy peasy challenge for you, as we know a lot of people are very busy with the summer holiday period ... our theme is

Anything Goes

The only rules to be eligible for this week's prizes are that you should submit a new piece of work that features a Penny Black image stamp, large sentiment or stickeroo as its main focus - other than that it's entirely up to you!!

And what prizes?? I hear you ask ... well this week we've got two fabulous ones for randomly drawn winners ....

3914K Joy Filled Stockings

and from The Ribbon Girl
 a Fuschia Mini Ribbon Kit

So all in all there are plenty of reasons to enter this week! The rest of the DT have come up with a fabulous variety of sample cards - this is what I did.

Bizarrely, I actually found the theme of Anything Goes rather challenging to start with ... it was rather a case of being spoilt for choice so not knowing what direction to go in lol! I eventually decided though that I was feeling floral, and as I ruffled through my stash I came across a beautiful piece of glittery paper by The Robin's Nest (from Crafts4u2Do) which so reminds me of sunrises and sunsets ... so everything else kinda went from there.

Recipe:
Main image: Penny Black "Aspire", stamped twice onto a background created with "Scattered Straw" and "Dried Marigold" distress inks and a masked circle for the moon;
Sentiment: sticker from my stash;
Paper; The Robin's Nest (from Crafts4u2Do);
Supplies: all flowers from Crafts4U2Do; sparkly "sugar coated" brads by Doodlebug; metallic dragongly brads by Dovecraft; organza ribbon from my stash;
Tools: Fleur de Lys square nestabilities.

This card is rather unusual in that it is very shiny and sparkly but not on the image itself - just the paper, corner and dragongfly brads and the matting card - the ribbon is also rather shimmery. Here's a closeup... it doesn't really show the full glittery effect though!

Challenges:
Incy Wincy #105 - Monchromatic
My Mum's #17 - Monochromatic
Creative Inspirations #123 - Lemonade (yellow and white only)
Scrapbook Sisters #46 - Silhouette
Crafter's Companion #15 - Glitter and Glitz
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes (2nd entry)
Cooking It Up With Katie #69 - Something Old, Something New, Favourite technique
(old stamp, new flowers, distressed background technique)
("Aspire" rubber stamp; brads; cherry blossom flowers)
Hope you can join us this week - look forward to seeing your creations :-) have a great weekend.
