Penny Black Saturday #130

Good morning everyone - hope you are keeping warm during the current Arctic conditions. I'm trying not to take too long over this post today as I am writing this Friday evening, and the temperature in my study is absolutely perishing, so I am keen to get back in font of the fire with a hot coffee (or should that be a hot toddy??)

Anyways, it's Saturday so it's time for another Penny Black Saturday Challenge! Thanks as always to everyone who entered last week's challenge - I managed a lot of visiting last week and there were loads of wonderful creations. Don't forget to check the main challenge blog to see if you are a winner :-)

This week's challenge is a theme - we would like to see you

stamp onto anything but white card

As always you can interpret this however you choose, so long as you create a new piece of work (no backlinking please) and your project contains a Penny Black image, large sentiment or stickeroo as its focus.

This week we have once more fab prizes for 2 lucky ramdomly drawn winners, from our regular monthly sponsor

Prize 1 - "Hand Mailed"

Prize 2 - "Before the Snow" and "Christmas Flourish"

Please do check out the fab creations by the other members of the DT - here's mine for this week.

My most suitable Christmas stamps for this challenge theme have had quite a few outings recently, so I decided to go in a different direction this week and make a birthday card. There is still a nod to Christmassy themes with the cool blues and whites, and the yummy Wild Orchid Crafts Christmas hellebores flower.

Recipe:
Main image: Penny Black "Fanfare" (3946K), heat embossed onto pale blue card using detail white powder;
Sentiment: LotV sentiment circles;
Papers: BasicGrey "Wisteria";
Supplies: flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts; lace and pearls from my stash;
Tools: small classic circles nestabilities; Marianne D Creatables "flower swirl" die.

Challenges:
Penny Black at Allsorts (December) - Beauty Is In the Eye of the Beholder
Cute Card Thursday #140 - The Blues
Oldie But A Goodie #7 - Christmas Birthday
Fab 'n' Funky #51 - Birthday
Paper Sundaes #46 - Adorn those Corners!

I think with the current weather it is definitely a weekend for staying in and crafting, so hope to see your creations :-) Keep warm and have a good weekend.
